Brand Collaboration Guide

A better
brief.
Better content.
A clear brief makes creator and modeling collaborations easier from the first conversation through final delivery—especially when goals, deliverables, timing and usage are defined early.
Goal. Deliverables. Usage. Timing.
Those four pieces answer most of the questions that determine creative direction, production scope and rates.
Start with the goal
Explain what the campaign needs to accomplish: awareness, a launch, social content, paid media, a landing page, product education or a broader image library.
Define the deliverables
List the number and type of assets needed: still images, vertical video, UGC-style clips, reels, story frames, detail shots or campaign photography.
Clarify usage
Where and how the content will run matters. Social posting, brand-owned channels, paid advertising, web, email, print and broader campaign use can require different planning.
Give the work a clear destination.
Mood boards, references and examples are useful because they show the intended level of polish, styling, setting and energy. References should guide the work rather than turn the shoot into a copy of someone else’s campaign.
When the campaign has several deliverables, planning them together can create a more coherent visual set and make production more efficient.

Build in room for planning and review.
Include the target shoot date, campaign launch date and any internal review deadlines. A realistic timeline makes it easier to coordinate location, wardrobe, product delivery and final asset needs.
Scope determines the quote.
Rates depend on deliverables, production complexity, timing, travel, posting requirements, exclusivity and usage. A detailed brief makes pricing more accurate and reduces unnecessary back-and-forth.
Include these details when possible.
A few questions worth settling early.
When should usage be discussed?
At the beginning. Organic social, paid advertising, brand websites and broader campaigns can involve different scope and terms, so intended use should be part of the initial brief.
Can several deliverables come from one production?
Often, yes. Planning stills, vertical video and social-first assets together can make the visual set more consistent and use production time more efficiently.
What can slow a project down?
- Unclear deliverables or usage
- Late product delivery
- Missing creative references
- A launch date without review time
